Cheri works mostly with an adult population of 18+ years and older and has worked in healthcare for over 32 years and has been driven to further her education throughout those years to treat the patient as a whole. She has worked in many specialty areas as a Registered Nurse throughout the hospitals and at the bedside caring for patients. After doing this for over 25 years, she decided to become a Nurse Practitioner and treat her own patients. She obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) degree at Grand Canyon University in 2009. Cheri has worked as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner as a Primary care Provider in Family Medicine and Public Community Health.

Psychiatric Mental Health

Cheri has worked with many different populations for many years before seeing the need in the surrounding Tri-City area and decided to further her education to be able to understand and provide mental health care to those in Psychiatric Mental Health. She obtained her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License (PMHNP-BC) at Wilkes University in 2022.

 

Primary Care:

Chronic and acute medical conditions, sick visits, referrals, Physicals. Management of Thyroid Disease, Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Obesity and many other chronic medical needs.  Preventative Care Guidelines, Simple office procedures and others: Skin tag removal, Ear wax removal, Cortisone Joint Injection, Kenalog allergy shots, acute pain control, Well Woman Care and some in office point of care testing.

 

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) 

Naltrexone and Suboxone for those needing stabilization from Substance and Alcohol Dependance.

The past several years she has also worked at local inpatient psychiatric units for both girls ages 12-17 and adults 18+. Both inpatient and outpatient areas she has worked with those in crisis, acute psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, mood disorders, schizoaffective and ADHD. She has experience with patients requiring both acute and chronic mental health medication stabilization.

Cheri enjoys teaching her patients how to manage their medical conditions which allows them to be in control of their disease and understand the disease process. Cheri is driven to provide compassionate and quality care. Cheri has been providing care in the Tri-City area for many years and is able to manage both your Psychiatric Mental Health and Primary care needs all in one location.

Amy is an American Association of Nurse Practitioners certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is also a Certified Diabetic Educator. She received her Masters' and Post Masters' degrees at the University of Arizona and has enjoyed serving the local community in these roles for over 15 years. She is also a veteran of the US Army.

Amy's professional experience includes partnership in family practice with focus on preventative, acute, and chronic health care.

She also gained experience in the treatment of addiction, mental illness, and chronic physical illness while employed at the Prescott Veteran's Administration Domiciliary. She transitioned to West Yavapai Guidance Clinic where she directed their innovative Integrated Care Program, linking mental and physical health services for countless designated Seriously Mentally III clients. She was also Project Director of a SAMHSA grant which focused on chronic disease management in the SMI population by developing an integrated healthcare delivery system.

She specializes in treating the whole person, knowing there is no separation from physical, mental, and personal wellbeing. She offers a comprehensive approach to health care incorporating foundations of nutrition, sleep, and activity along with medication management and complimentary options. She believes working together toward goals can achieve wellness.
